Youth Health Forum
The purpose of this event is to provide information on the latest trends and evidence based practice for service providers in the child and youth sector, as well as opportunities to network and explore referral pathways with other services in the Brisbane south region.
This event is suitable for all health professionals and youth organisations.
Learning outcomes:
- Define gender dysphoria and know how to refer to the service
- Describe the positive impacts of exercise and good nutrition on a young person's mental health
- Describe the privacy and security measures taken to protect My Health Record and how to discuss privacy concerns with young patients
- Recognise and implement strategies in the prevention, early identification and management of eating disorders
- Recognise and assess the impact of substance use on health and wellbeing on young people
